All, I am trying to generate a table of contents from a document that is heavily bulleted using Outline numbering. eg

I would like to be able to include the number of the most recent heading in my header. The only way I know of doing this is to format the page number to include the heading number, but that is no good here as I would like to have the heading number and the page number separately.

Say I'm making an ouline and when I want to make a sub point I usually press tab and that'll change the numbering from say I. to a. Well some setting got changed and it's not doing that anymore. Now when I press tab it spaces 5 spaces over, and doesn't change from point to sub

What is the suggested method for the paragraphs included in a number section but not numbered we just use normal and 'pull' them in line. seems easier than having a bunch of indented styles
