I am having a problem getting my page numbers to print. The numbers ar on the monitor screen but not on the pages coming out of the printer. Any solutions will be appreciated -----------------------------------------------

Dear Bruce, Thanks for the macro. In XP when I stepped through it, it recognised the level of numbering but the List Number comes up as 3 (not 4 as you suggested in your 2nd para).

For some reason when I am creating a bulleted list and hit the tab key to change to the second bullet level, the cursor simply tabs, without indenting the bullet or changing the bullet to the second level bullet.

I need to add a zero into Word's normal numbering so that I get 1.01 instead of 1.1. My problem arises when I get to 1.10. I get 1.010, and that's not what I want. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Usually, when I create multi-page documents for distribution as class handouts, I use the format Page 1 of 4, Page 2 of 4 etc. This used to work perfectly for me using either the Insrt Autotext method - Page X of Y, or

In Word 2000 I have inserted a TOC, the paragraph style for 2nd level items is correctly TOC 2 (with tabstops at .5" 6.49" as defined in the style.) However a directly formatted tab appears at 1.2" (Shift+F1 shows that there is a directly formatted tab present.)
