I am writing a technical paper and want to make active
links to by References so that in the test when I include
[1] You can click this to bring you down to the first
reference marked also numbered [1].

I am new to Word 2003, coming from Word 2000. I have read
the rules about numbering and digging to China. Generally
able to work numbered paragraphs out.
Now I see List Styles as another option on the numbering

I have a document which is about 5 pages long.  What i
want in the footer is for it to say page 1 of 5.  But
rather than have numbers i want it to be in roman numbers
IE page I of V.

A client has required the following outline numbering
scheme to be added to documents:
1       Heading 1
1.1    Heading 2

When I insert a cross-reference to a figure I would like to have the choice
of using either the default (Figure 1) or (Fig. 1). Is there any way I can
do this?
Obviously I can change it manually but when I update fields they all go back

Hi expertises,
I have a 3 level for my outline numbering. The problem is
the first letter in level 1 does not automatically
becomes capital letter in the first word i type after

I am really confused.  The Tab key on my keyboard is not working when
outline numbering appears in a document. I am using Word XP. Therefore
I cant change levels easily.  Have I disabled it somehow?

I need to automate the enumeration of requirements in a
spec.  Searching help and Google MS newsgroups for SEQ and
LISTNUM fields produced no results.
