I  often submit manuscripts to journals where the editor wants the footnote
references and the footnote text unlinked and just 'regular' text.
Previously I have been doing this by manually typing the footnote reference
number and superscripting it, then adding the note to the end of ...

I have created a form and I want to insert a locked field which shoul
be an increasing number for each time the form is being filled.
To be used as an ID number for each form.
How do I insert such a field?

Is there anyway I can change the default so that when
using a number list it does not tab.
eg.
1.   sldkfjfldkj.

I have set up my headings per Shauna Kelly's web site. The problem I'm
having now is getting the number formats to behave. What I want is

get Word to automatically capitalize the first letter of a
sentence when it follows a sentence ending with a number

When I am using the outline function and I press tab, it

On too frequent occasions when creating a numbered list,
Word 2002 stops responding and consumes 100% CPU.
I like to understand what is causing this so that I stop
loosing endless hours of work.

I have a document of 9 pages.
I would like to page number the first eight pages and
exclude the nineth.
