I am editing a Word document that already has footnotes in it. When
add a footnote now Word doesn't count correctly; the footnote I entere
should be no 10, but Word counts it (automatically) as no 5.
What can be done

Is there anyway i can change which symbols are used for a perticular
level in the listnum field?

I am using numbering in my styles and would like to be able to have:
1.10,1.20,1.30. Is this possible

I have big text with several chapters. I need to set numbers to page
inside the chapters as well as to the whole document. Example:
Chapter 2, Page 2 from 5
Total:   Page 10 from 40

I have a numbering issue that does not appear to have been discussed
in the numbering posts in the various Word newsgroups, or in the
numbering explanations on the several web sites.
I have written a multi-chaptered document and I want the complete

number and the text keeps returning as .25" in certain

In Word 2002, we have a 10 page document.  Pages 1, 2, and 3 should
not be numbered, and page 4 should be numbered as Page 1.  I inserted
a section break at the bottom of page 3 and on page 4, I inserted a

I'm working on a document that I converted from PDF to Word 2000.
The main body of the document has ordinary page numbers (1, 2, etc.)
Then there are several appendices, each with their own table of
contents and page numbering (A-1, A-2, etc.).

 i am pastign a table created in one word document into
another.  When I do this the bold text in the most left
hand column is being picked up by word and set as headings.
i cna change them back to normal and reformat them,

I am perplexed as to how to change the position of the number in a
number list from the left side to the right side.
