I don't know what I done but now my page numbers, captions, and index all have a grey background. Even if I start a new document it does this now. I've done everything I can think of to try to fix it to no avail.

Does anyone have an ytips on setting up numbering in Word to make building dichotomous keys easier? These are basically outline-like lists used for identifying organisms in biology and have other various uses in science and elsewhere. Here is a simple example:

I created a template that suits me for an outline. However, when a line that I am writing wraps to the next line, it aligns left under the number above, rather than being lined up under the indented line above. Can someone tell me what settings to check to change this?

I've got a problem with bullets that I can't figure out. I'm copying text from a document and am pasting it into the new text using Paste Special/Unformatted text. Then, I want to bullet the text such that they look something like this:

I'm writing a medium-sized report in Word 2002 (SP3), which contains many tables and figures. I use Insert -> Captions for the Table and Figure captions and then insert the associated cross references in the text.
