I have been asked to produce an invoice template in Office 2000.
I opted to use word and I have the design finished except that I need to add
a field which will automatically number each individual page, e.g.;

Using Word 2002.  When viewing footers especially I would like to change
the grey background and darker grey page number to some combination more
easily readable. Can this be done?

With Office 2000 I could see at the bottom of

Is it possible to initialize caption numbering in Word to something other
than 1?  I'm doing book chapters in separate files but need the caption
numbers to be globally sequential.  It will allow initializing page numbers,
but I haven't found a way to do it with caption numbers.

I'm also having a TOC update entire table removes section break problem.  
I've tried adding additional paragraphs and formating the first paragraph
after the TOC as "page break before" and nothing has worked.
