We've been using a document template (called New Deed) for a few years set
up with styles Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3 etc linked to Outline
numbering via the styles box - so far so good.  Heading 1 is numbered, in
bold, all in caps, heading 2 (and all that follow) are numbered, ...

Where is my Table of Contents26 Apr 2005 13:20 GMT7
I had one but now it's gone.  Has this ever happened to anyone?  What
is the work around?  Does it have something to do with my field display
settings?  I must admit I was screwing around with them.

We are a legal firm and have documents which have utilised the 'listnum'
field to number paragraphs (everyone finds this much easier than auto
numbering!).
There is a para style with 6 outline number levels, and the 'listnum' field
(Long) Disappearing picture bullet25 Apr 2005 19:47 GMT5

Outline Numbering24 Apr 2005 21:27 GMT3
How can I permanently change the available outline numbering formats in
Word 2000? Someone posted a helpful article previously, but I cannot
locate it. None of the choices is what I want, and if I modify one, it
only stays modified for that document.

Skipping a Heading Level24 Apr 2005 05:15 GMT2
I'm currently using all 9 heading levels (with outline numbering) and
in order to get a section "just right" I'm thinking about skipping

Just for that one section.
Another Table of Contents question...and answer22 Apr 2005 22:36 GMT1
I'm in a document that has Outlined Numbered Heading Styles.  I want to
generate a TOC that displays 2 levels.
The Heading 1 style is centered, starting with the number I.  There is
a space after it.
Style Separator21 Apr 2005 19:09 GMT2
Is this feature as helpful as it's suppose to be?  Whenever I use it on
outline numbering that I have linked to headers, the numbering

was in when I inserted the SS in the first place.  Does that make
