OK - I read the MVP web page about the page numbering, and am trying to get the following formula to work: {IF {PAGE} > 2 "{={PAGE \*roman} - 2}" ""} Basically, its for a table of contents for a manual.

I've created many big manuals comprised of separate chapters and successfully produced a TOC in the "MAIN" document with Chapt-Page numbers, by using {SEQ Chapter \r#} in each chapter/document and RD fields in the "main" document, eg:

Whenever I hit the Page x of y in the header/footer toolbar, I get this: Page [] PAGE [] of [] NUMPAGES [] The parens represent a box that shows up. Does anyone know what is wrong?
