MSWord 2003:
Is there a way to get page numbering to do go into sub-pages?  We often
use "Change Pages" and the numbering is a little longer.  We also use
chapter nos. preceding the page number.  So we have something like this

I need to copy parts of a document in Word 2003 that has an outline
numbered format.  When I go to copy paragraph 3.2 from one document
and paste it to a new document, the number revverts to 1.1.

I have an document with manually typed header and footer when i try to
convert it through word header and footer, the alignment breaks and
extra new pages where inserted.
Is there anyway to convert all the typed header and footer to 'word

manually, because there are lot of spaces available in the empty pages,

I have working with Word 2002 and am typing a simple document with no
special format of about 45 pages with a few page having columns (2). The
problem is page numbering. There seems to be 35 sections over the 45 pages
and each one wants to restart numbering from 2!

I have a large document that for editing purposes, I had divided into 3
separate documents.  I used 4 styles to do the legal numbering (1, 1.1, etc)
Each of the documents had one first level, with the rest of the document
being the lower numbers.

for figures. I would like to be able to either create a combined index
for both, or create a seperate index for each SEQ.

We would like for our appendix page numbers to look like: A-1, A-2, A-3,...;
B-1, B-2, B-3...; C-1, C-2, C-3..., etc. And we want them to appear in the
TOC as such, automatically. I can't get this to work in Word 2003, even after
trying the steps in the Help topic "Restart page ...
