Table of Contents19 Jul 2006 20:30 GMT1
I am trying to create a table of contents based on heading levels, but not
including the text of the whole heading paragraph.  For example, I would
like only the underlined text (which is underlined in the document) and the
heading number to appear in the actual TOC (with page ...

No initial capital after numbered list18 Jul 2006 14:13 GMT3
I recently discoverd that if I use a numbered list word does not capitalize
the first letter. I understand that this is a well-known problem but is
there some way to work around it?
It would be ok if this happened just after numbered list but if I open a

I have a manual where I would like to put a button or hyperlink at the
top of each page (i.e. that is in the same position on each page) that
when clicked will take you to a bookmark, e.g. an Index or Table of
Contents.
Incrementing Numbers in Word14 Jul 2006 09:01 GMT1
For the purposes of diagrams, you may want to use incrementing numbers
throughout your document.  I did not have an easy time finding how to
do this on the web, so I will add instructions here for indexing search
purposes.

Hi, I hope you all are doing well.
I am making business cards in Word, or actually tickets for a raffle using

First:  I have checked to see if others have written about this issue,
but found nothing.  If they have, I deeply apologize for the
duplication.

To Charles & Suzanne - Numbering Outline07 Jul 2006 16:16 GMT2
I am sorry to bother you again, but I feel like I am so close yet so far.  I
did follow the Shauna Kelly's instructions.  Everything else if great except
that at this point, the first 3 levels of the outline are correct, but the
4th, 5th and 7th are not numbering correctly.  They ...

they follow the previous level and the headings are correct.  But I am still
Help --- Merging separately numbered chapters into one book...04 Jul 2006 19:11 GMT10
I've just finished a draft of a book.  Each chapter is nicely organized
with numbered headings (down to level 3) and with the proper Header 1
chapter headings.  I did this the way I always did it -- the way I
learned from MVP Shawna Kelly.  Now I need to get the separate chapters ...

Deleting Outline Numbering in H1 does not delete numbering in H203 Jul 2006 11:24 GMT4
I'm using Word 2003. I understand from MVP site that to get a robust outline
numbering scheme, that H1 style should have the outline numbering set up for
it and that other Heading (H2,3,4 etc) should be based on H1 style(& its
numbering).
