I have a section for which I'd like a numeric footer that numbers the pages
in the section.
The document is 2 pages long.  The section in question is only 1 page long.
I'd like the section footer to be '1 of 1'.  But it comes up as '1 of 2' no

I have grayed out buttons on my outline tool bar the split, merge, lock
buttons and others are not available? Also I thought there was a way to open
an outline file condensed, I can save the document condensed but when I open
it is fully expanded?

I'm trying to update the TOC my team has been using for ages.
Originally, the goal was to add chapter numbers as a prefix to the page
numbers. After changing the built-in styles around, I accomplished

I have a list that will be numbered 1 -200.  How can I keep Word from
creating such a big gap with the tripple digit numbers?  It completely throws
off the columns.

and the hanging indent both move by 0.63cm to the right. Also, a tab stop is added at 1.27cm to the

Is it possible to set up numbering in Word so that the level 1 doesn't
actually have a number, but level 2 still has a number for level 1?  Like

I have the following HeadingStyle setup:
Heading 1 through Heading 4 are used for Chapter-headings
Heading 6 through Heading 9 are used for Appendix-headings
Heading 5 need NOT be in the Table of Contents

I've searched through the archive and checked the instuctions, but I
can not find how to reset the numbering. There is a total dismatch
between chapter numbers and page numbering referrring to the chapters.
My tables of Contents looks like:
