How do I make the 2nd line of bullets always indent the same? The problem I am having is that when I create a 1st bullet, I press enter then Tab and have the 2nd/sub-bullet. Then I reformat it to indent a little less than Word did by default. Then I press Enter and

When I insert a header and try to add a page number to it, it blows the header away. How can I insert a header, add a page number, and have no page number or header on the first page. I've tried everything. Thanks in advance. Arlene

I can't get my headings to number correctly (using Word 2003). I have followed Shauna Kelly's instructions, even have used the "if all else fails" instructions, but don't get the numbers to increment correctly. Here's an example:

I have a document with two sections. I used Suzanne Barnhill's article, "How to set up a document with front matter numbered separately" successfully on a couple of documents; I don't know that this problem is related to this.

I am having a problem with MSWORD XP and the Figure caption numbering. If I have a series of figures that are linked to Heading 6, I get the correct number. Figure 1.1.1.1.1.1-1, etc.

Hi folks -- I have a document where I have used automatic numbering to make lists, etc. Is there a way to convert the automatic numbering to just plain text, but to retain the formatting (numbers, tab stops, and so on)?
