everytime i press enter during a numberation, the following number is the

I have created a style which provides a very simple outline numbered
list: it's 2 levels deep and relies on an invisible top level which
does the restarting (a straight copy from Margaret Aldis' trick
explained on the MVP-site). This all works very smoothly and as it's

I have a document template that has the list numbers (i.e. 1, 1.1,
1.1.1, 2, 2.1,2.1.1.....)  I have the code to extract the comments,
get the header for the nearest outline level, but haven't been able to
get the 1.1.1 type numbers for the outline header.  I can get the

I'm working on my dissertation and having problems with page numbers.
For a few of the beginning pages I need to use i, ii, iii... and then
I begin using 1, 2, 3, 4.  However I need to start and stop numbering
throughout the paper - for instance, no page number for the beginning

Here are the steps I'm using to insert a page number in the top right-hand

I am busy with my masters disseration. I can't format the "figures" text in
the Table of Figures, so that I can modify the style to automatically indent
the figures. The problem is caused by the absence of a TAB between the word
"figure" (the label) and the name of the figure. ...

I use Word 2003 and when I define the caption with insert/references/
Caption/tables, I get the right number "table 3-1 xxxxxxxx" until I
push ok, then it writes to table 0-1 xxxxxxxxx.
It seems that the other captions for figures and tables in chapter 4-8

When I "update fields" in my MS Word documents some cross-references
to tables and figures alter the formatting of the paragraph that
contains them.  For example, I update fields and the paragraph:
"Blah blah blah Table 3 blah blah blah"
