  In Office 2003, it was possible to define footer/header with selections
for page numbering. In 2007 version of Word, you can only choose styles for
header/footer and it seems it is not possible to change/modify a style. I
want to choose a footer style but I want to have Page X ...

Folks,
I want to make a doc start with a cover page that has no footer.
Odd/even footers should start on the second page and number ii, iii,
etc. The body of the doc starts on the seventh page where page numbers

I have Microsoft Word 2007 in which i'm trying to add page numbers to
document pages. I double click on the header section, the header tab appears

I'm just polishing off a document & the table numbering has gone
crazy.  I had to insert a section break mid chapter, to allow some A3

MS Word 2003 is once again printing my footers with page 1 of 1, page
2 of 2, page 3 of 3, page 4 of 4, page 5 of 5...  
The correct page numbers appear on my screen and they are also printed
in my table of contents.

but while I can find myriad things I should NOT do, I'm not certain what I
SHOULD do to properly set up all of the numbering needed in my lengthy
document (a technical manual).
