I'm in the middle of writing a large document with quite a lot of references, bibliography lists, etc. I'm quite new to all this so there might be simple things that I don't know how to do.

i recently upgraded to office 03 (from XP), and now every time i try to insert bullets or numbering, it crashes and i lose all mo work. however, if i copy the numbers from a different document with numbering, they work fine. is there any solution to this?

I have a document with a Table of Contents which is hyperlinked. I have updated the document and Table of Contents to reflect additional numbering. I cannot seem to fix the following (example below): a) 1.0 should be before 'GENERAL NAVIGATION', 4 is the page number.

How can the default format for auto-numbers generate via AutoNum field codes be changed -- e.g., to have just arabic numbers with no period, or to use Roman numerals instead of arabic, etc. etc. ? Thanks.

I have an outline numbered list and an introductory paragraph before it. Sometimes when I change the intro paragraph, the list will jump down to a second page, even if the into paragraph is only a few lines. I think it has something to do with keeping the list together,

I am writing an outline in Word 2007 on Vista and cannot promote a line using the tab key. Instead it actually inserts a tab (imagine that). How do I fix this? Thanks, bob

Hi. I have a problem. I can add a caption to a single figure in manual mode, but I can't use automatic insert caption. I try to configure automatic insert, but it don't work. In Word 2003 in the same mode it work correctly.
