Winxp, Office 2k Have a .doc I'm suppose to edit that is ~ 500 pages. The doc didn't have page numbers so when I numbered pages, it turned into a mess. I'm guessing there are "several" section breaks causing the numbering problem.

Our legal docs in Word 2003 are formatted with styles which apply outline numbering to each paragraph (1.1, 1.1.1 and so on). Is it possible to delete paragraphs of text without altering the subsequent numbering? For example I have paragraphs 2.3.1; 2.3.2 and 2.3.3. I

I recall in 2003 i if a document was in one numbering format like 1., 1.1, 1.1.1, etc format I could select all and change the format and it would change all applicable "numbered" items to the new format. In 2007 if I do that under the Numbering or Multi-level Lists icons

In Word 2003 one can assign a shortcut command to a style i.e. Heading 1 is Alt+H1 and Heading 2 can be Alt+H2 etc. So useful. I cannot find the same option in Word 2007. Can anyone assist please.

Is there any relationships between inserting continuous breaks and page numbering? I inserted 2 continuous breaks, then, page number got screwed. Now there are two page 2 like page 1, 2, 2, instead page 1, 2, 3.
