I have a friend who has written a book, but apparently forgot to number the pages. Is there any simple way that he can now go back and number the pages? I do not know the exact version of MS Word that he has, but his computer

When using W2002/2003 I could change the definitions of my chapters to: 1 Chapter 1 2 Chapter 2 2.1 Paragraph 1 from chapter 2

In Word 2003 I am sure that I used to be able to create a paragraph that automatically had a text string prefix such as "Note: " which was handy for Notes, Warnings, etc. for a variety of documents.

Thank you for this resource. My numbering just stopped from last night. I have a long document and when I started on it this morning the numbering lists just stopped. It still indicates the proper style from the list on Home Tab, but now I have to manually type the number. I ...

My multilevel list appears to be correct in that the numbers follow and the table of contents prints correctly. In the style panel at the Home tab, Heading 1 appears to be correct as does Heading 2, ............... but there is no Heading 3. I instead it skip to Heading 4, ...
