Is it possible to have a hair-line one third of the page down on the
L-hand side so that I can use it as a marker for folding my page in
thirds?
I have seen it once on pre-printed stationery and like the idea. The

I know that Access allows you to type a date in any
format and have it come out a unversal style (i.e. type
in "2-2-03" and have it auto correct to February 2,

Everytime I try to type there is a dot placed between
each word.  Also when I press "Enter" to skip down a line
it places a "paragraph symbol" each time I press Enter.

Does anyone know if it is possible to format the text of a
document as a single column but the footnotes as a double
column?  The "columns" entry is grayed out of the format
menu when one is in the footnotes.

I have a Word (XP) document with a section break and then three columns. I
do not seem to be able to change the top and bottom margins for this
section. I can change them, but it does not have any effect, even setting
them to extremes, like 2" does nothing.

When I open up Word the top tool bars appear and then the

Has anyone ever had a situation where the default
settings in word 2000 and/or word xp have changed from
one use to another.  Let me give two examples
In both Word 2000 & Word XP the default view (ie outline,
