When I attempt to type either in a new file or a file from disk, in the bottom message bar where it normal says page 1 sec 1, etc., says, "This command is not available because the document is locked for edit."

I've been using a style with 10 point text. When I changed to office xp, it changed on it's own to 12 point. I can't get it to go back even after changing the template. Can you help me? Thanx, paul.
