I have a horizontal, page-width line in a word doc that
cannot be eliminated. Regardless of how I cut, delete, or
re-format it it remains visible. I cannot even enter
paragraph returns to move it down below the current page --

I am creating a tariff document for my company.  The header must reflect the section and page numbers.  Every page will have a different number.  I have Word 2000, and I have tried to turn off the same as previous tool.  But this tool was not turned on, so I don't know what else ...

is there a way to print i.e. 200 copies of a form and automatically number each form? i.e. 1 to 200, with copy number 75 to print out with a number 75 on it.

Can someone tell me how to print my page 1 and 2 on the first sheet and page 3 (with a blank 4) on the second sheet?  I used page setup and selected landscape 2 pages per sheet - what else do I need to do

Hi, my top ruler in word 2003 is showing so many numbers they are all
squashed together, I have tried changing the measurement units but nothing
happens, it works fine on other computers running Word 2003. Computer is
running Windows 2000 SP4.

Can anyone advise if there is a way to place a graphic of a sheet of
letterhead into the first page of a document that only appears on that first
page but not succeeding pages??

I would like to customize the graphics of page borders in word. It should be
possible. Where are the borders stored and how can I add more borders? Any
help will be appreciated.

My toolbars are gone in Word.  I have the document name at the top of the page and that is it.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program.  I've tried running from disc.  No toolbars.  Excel, Access, Publisher, not affected.

I've been seeing a problem amongst various users in which Word will
cut off about 1/3 of a printed document.  The text doesn't appear on

When I print a 10 page doc it prints the page numbers in the footer as Page 1 of 1, Page 2 of 2, Page 3 of 3 and so on. How can I fix it to print the way it should Page 1 of 10, page 2 of 10 and so on.

Until today I have had no problem creating a blank word
document using Word 2002.  But now, when I open up a new
blank document, I would get these little corner markers
(for a lack of a better description) located about one

how can i set page break?  my 2000 Word sometimes breaks
at 8.5 on left hand scale, sometimes breaks at 7.0.
also how can i delete the second blank page/

I tried your technique and it worked fine however, there seems to be a
limitation. The "envelopes and labels" screen for entering text doesn't
allow such features as spell check, advanced formatting, etc.

I used the bookfold in page set up and it looks great on
the screen but only prints half of what I see.  What am I
doing wrong???? Thanks

Every time I hit the return key, the format changes. I've tried deletin
the style that it changes to from the style options (under format), bu
it won't allow me, saying it is a permanent option, or something lik
that.
