I don't know what I did, but now when I click on "New Blank Document" in Word 2000, when I start typing, it lets me type a few key strokes and then it jumps like to another column and it also skips spaces and then goes to another like column... like this Now ...

Does anyone know of a quick and easy way to remove multiple, unwanted line breaks (other than manually) in a long document? Or else is there a way to copy text from an email editor into Word that will not insert the "hard" line breaks after every line?

I am looking for a way to turn off auto format in Word. I find it distracting and annoying that I have to keep going to undo action each time I change from one part to another in my document. The auto correct check box does not have any effect on this, contrary to what "Help" ...
