I have a large archive of Word 2000 docs which are all formatted th
same.
I was recently switched to a newer machine and although the tabs see
the same on the ruler, everything is awry. On my old machine an

I have numbering in my document set to A-1, A-2, B-1 etc,
with me typing in the A-, etc in manually.  When I run the
ToC only the 1. 2 is showing, A-, etc is not picked up,
but I would like it to be.

especially when I 'Return' at the end of a line, the new
text, either cut & paste or typed, appears in the default
font instead of the selected font. Among the things I have

When I use the fully justify icon in a paragraph,
sometimes the last line in the paragraph has so few words
that there is a large space between words. Is there a way

She highlights the text and hits the Delete key, but it
