This issue has been posted before but the suggested
solution did not work when I tried it.
I want my header and footer on first page only. I have
tried page set up -layout -and different first page but

Using Win2k and Word 2000.
When I toggle my show/hide paragraphs, the paragraph marks
never go away. The tab and space marks work like they
should.

Is it possible to use
Insert/Reference/Cross-reference.
To insert a figure cross reference that will show up as:
"Fig 1"
