Whenever I open a word file the page displays paragraph and spacing symbols. I cannot seem to get rid of them no matter what view I use. I even downloaded the SR3 patch. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem?

I cannot change the size on a header. I have tried the scroll bar on the left hand side and the dotted line would either revert back to its location or enclose all of the text on the page. Any advice on this issue.
