The cursor is at the very top of the view. However, the print preview is
normal. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still have the same
problem. Can you help?

My Word has defaulted the page layout to landscape.  When I try to change it
back to portrait the following message appears:
'Increasing right margin causes last column to become too narrow in some
sections having unevenly spaced columns.'

very long doc (7000 pages) when hitting hide/remove, of course the paragraph
symbol appears, but so does {XE-name} and we MUST remove this to submit the
doc. It is because it is index, we know, but what to do about this? Please
help ASAP

       Can anyone help me to get a standard layout for preparing an
academic(computational)  project report in Microsoft Office 2003 or Windows
office XP ?

Is there a way to force a chapter on a odd page using a style. I know you
can force this with sections but i can't find a way to do this automaticly by
applying a chapter style.

I use Word97 to create a calendar. Each month consists of two to four
jpg photos, which I combine by using the Insert/Picture/From File
command. (The photos have been first cropped and color corrected using
Irfan viewer.) I then save each month as a .doc file, print it on 8.5 x

I am using Word 2002 and I have a problem when I tried to insert a header.
There is always a line in the header by default. I want to remove the line.
Could anyone tell me how to do it? Thank you a lot.

I cannot figure out a way to do this.   Hitting enter resolvesthe issue - but
then I have an unwanted space.   I have a document with 3 columes.   I do not
want spaces beetween the paragraphs (just an indentation).    I cannot figure
out how to accomplish this.

I am a frustrated Word 2000 user.  I have created my letterhead.  
But....here's where the trouble begins.  I can get it to have a different
header/footer on Page one from page 2 but what I really want is to have the
header/footer on page one and no header on any of the subsequent ...

How can I show the first and last numbers in a numbered list for each page on
the header? I am using the bullets and numbering function, and I have them
formated in a style I made, but the styleref field states that I have no text
in that format.

I need to create a product manual, about 100 pages, to a finished size of 5.5
x 8.5, but when I print, the pages are in the wrong order. using paper 8.5 x
11. I'm using word2000.

For some reason I can no longer delete selected text in MS Word. I can use
the backspace and it will delete the selected text, but the "delete" key no
longer performns that function. I must have accidently changed some option.
Does anybody know what I did?

I'm doing a lengthy word document for a manual.  A few of the pages i want to
do are landscape, is there a way to be able to keep the pages in one
document, just have the few that i need, rotated 90 degrees?

From word 2003 when i have a page of labels from a mail merge-- I want to
delete a name from the list and have the other names move to fill the space
so I do not waste labels with a blank space---  Thank you for any assistance!
