I am trying to place a header and footer, in portrait format on a landscape
page.  My chart fits best in landscape format yet the page is in a report
which needs header and footer in portrait layout.

Word should not change your document format without your consent and then not
allow you to change it back. It is very irritating to be working on a
document and then have Word think it knows better than you.  The time I waste
trying to fix what Word tries to "help" me with is ...

Is there some sort of template or how do you make a 4X6 index card (for
studying) & how can you run it back through to print both sides of different
info? Example: (I'm a medical student) Front: Define Hemolysis. Back Side:
The destruction of red blood cells.

I am writing my doctoral dissertation in WORD and have tried section breaks
to do the page numbering but it did not work:
First few pages are Roman Numerals at Center Bottom
First page of each chapter is Arabic at Center bottom

I changed the normal.dot template to enforce consistency, but the Heading 5
format is applied instead of Normal. Any suggestions?

I have a table in a word document and need to automatically copy the data

Page numbering has strange effects, if I use a table with i.e. 3 column in
the Header. If I have page number (page of page) in the footer, sometimes it
displays 3/3 in the first side, 2/3 second side and 3/3 third side.

section of its own which is landscape. I can insert the automatic page
number in the landscape page so that it shows in the right place to
correspond with the portrait pages, but it needs rotating by 90 ...
