I am using Word 2000 SP3. I can't see headers and footers in Page Layout view. They are there in Print Preview and they print out OK. What am I doing wrong??

Friend has a problem with a fax form...I'm sure its easy to fix but I can't see how. He uses a fax form to send faxes as a Word document... ..he just opens up the form which has his name address tel nos etc on..then

I am trying to print an address single spaced... the document shows that I've typed it single spaced, but when I hit the envelope button, it comes up in preview double spaced. Nothing that I've tried will get the envelope to acknowlege the address as single spaced. Please help!

In View 'Print Layout' - Zoom 'Two Pages' - how do I select the view so that the odd numbered pages are on the right and the even numbered pages are on the left and not the other way round. i.e. view just like a book.

How do I make margins in which I can type (like those in textbooks)? Using Tables and tabs is too labour-intensive (you have to do it on every page). Using two-column layout doesn't work either - I want margins to contain information different from the body text.

Using Word 2003, how can I make Word use Print Layout as the default when it brings up docs? Sometime it loads them in Reading Layout, which throws me off. Adam

Once upon a time you could use File | New and click the Template radio button and get a truly default template. It didn't carry baggage from the Normal template or from a document used to make a template. Everything in it came from the Word defaults in the executable.
