Footers created in view>header and footer>insert auto text appear with gray
highlighting, which obscures the grayed footer text in the normal view.  
Footer text is visible in print preview mode only.  How can the highlighting
be removed?

Is there a way to lock the position of a graphic image in a Word template so
it can not be moved or deleted?

Two related items:
1) I have 125 individual Word documents that need to be consolidated into
one document.   Each document contains a two-column table with wrapped text,
which I think is one of my problems.

My page layout seems to have all of a sudden gone screwy and I don't know how
to fix it! When I open a blank/new document, the cursor is all the way at the
top of the page (as if there were no top margin). In Print Layout, the paper
