In Word 2002 I am trying to completly delete footers, but have not had any
luck. Any suggestions?

I got my document to fit on one page and the program AUTOMATICALLY INSERTED a
NEW PAGE.  How do I delete this inserted page so that my document is only one
page long and does not print as if a two page document?

Hi, I am using office xp 2002. The default page size is A4, changed the
printer settings to A4, and language to UK English. But when I start Word
after making the changes, and try to print, and check properties, it gives
the document size as 'letter'. Of course I can manually ...

I have appendices A, B, and C in my document.  I want the page numbers to be
A-1, etc.  I was able to do that in Word 97 and 2000, but now I'm using 2003.
How can I do this?

How can I set a header/footer in both landscape and profile orientations
within the same document so that, in landscape, the header is at the top of
the page and not in the left margin, which is the top of page in profile?

Intermittent problem.   Many documents look fine on the screen but when they
print are indented far to the right.  When print left margin says 1 inch.  
After print left margin says 2.67 inches.
Why for does it do this and how can I keep from happening?

Does anyone know of a way to force documents to open at a given %?  I often
get documents that people have saved at 120% or 150% and would rather force
them to open at 100% before setting anything I might want.

When adding a watermark to a previously formatted document that does not
contain a header a paragraph mark is added in a header. This changes the
display, even adding additional pages.
Is there a way of avoiding this, please and thanks.

I am using word 2000. The margine mesurements are in points not centimeters.
When the document has been printed it doesn't look like it does on the
screen. I thought maybe the reason was because of the measurements. Am I
wright ? How do I fix the problem?

I often cut and paste from internet sites to a Word document so I can delete
things I don't need and add things I do. This often leaves a good 2-3 inches
in a word document that are completely unused because of the difference in

I want to create my stationeryas a word template. It's in EPS format -- but
won't print as a watermark no matter waht I do. I can't view it, which is not
aprblem -- but it doesn't print out  at all.

I am new to Microsoft word 3000.  Previously I was able to highlight what
portion of a document I wanted to print and only get that portion printed.
