Text line position changes24 Aug 2005 16:17 GMT4
I am using Word 97 on an XP OS.  I recently lost autocorrect and other
template info, and am rebuilding.
I have styles for instruction steps in my documents.  To number the steps, I
insert a numbering sequence field, to avoid the numbering problems that occur

Matching Print Preview to Two Page Editing Layout w. Mirror Margin24 Aug 2005 15:33 GMT1
two questions, one nasty, one easy:
a)  I have a document using mirror margins. I've noticed that when I'm
editing the document in print layout mode, with the zoom set to two pages,
the page layout is like this:

I need to copy something from a web site onto word and then single space it

Some of my pictures and drawing disappear in Word23 Aug 2005 21:25 GMT1
Some of the graphics and pictures in a Word document I have created appear at
first then disappear when I scroll.  This happens in normal and print view.
It wasn't a problem in previous versions of Word.
Tabbing in a numbered list23 Aug 2005 20:45 GMT1
How do I make the "tab" button perform the function of increasing and
decreasing the indents in a list so that I don't have to use the mouse and
click on the increase/decrease indents buttons every time?
My protected template changes its format on different computers23 Aug 2005 20:44 GMT3
I have created a Word template, protected it,  and saved to to my file
server.  When the template opens on different computers the formatiing
changes and what used to be one page, is now two.  I suspect it may have
something to do with the resolution, but I'm not sure.  Anyone ...
Two column page...best way?23 Aug 2005 18:26 GMT1
I am rather new to the Word world.  I would like to ask the best method of
automatically (via macro) creating a document.  I need a document (maybe
more than one page) that has two columns.  I will access a database to
supply the data to fill the two columns.  I have this part ...
Page Breaks23 Aug 2005 17:18 GMT2
We accidentally created pg. breaks after the end of the last paragraph on
each pg. in our large document.  We need to remove the page breaks to the
actual end of each page throughout the entire document and want to do this
all at once (not each pg. separately)
Creating a newsletter23 Aug 2005 17:10 GMT1
I am going to creating a newsletter for a heart defect support group.  The
first one I did was in Publisher 2000.  Looked great but would upload to
email.  I copied this file into Word 2000 and saved as a Web page and it
email.  I would like to stick with Word.
New document column default23 Aug 2005 16:37 GMT7
My page default has changed to 2 columns in Word 2003 and I can't get it to
change back to 1.  I have to go in and change each individual new document I
start! Somebody suggested I go into Options - General - (deselect) Allow
Starting in Reading Layout but it didn't change.
New Printer...can you change the settings for existing documents?23 Aug 2005 15:21 GMT2
I'm not sure if I'm in the correct newsgroup so if I'm not please direct me
to it.
We are currently using Word2003 / HP LJ4250 (PCL6).  There are several
users/documents and we want to make this transition as easy as possible
How do I change the page order in MS Word?23 Aug 2005 14:57 GMT1
I am trying to change the order of the pages in a MS Word document. Basically
it's a 4 pages document and I want to move page 4 to be page 1. I would like
to do this without cut/paste, because the formatting of the page is quite
complicated (it has a few text-boxes and ...
Word, revert to normal style when hit enter after editing caption23 Aug 2005 14:57 GMT3
Chances are somebody does not want to begin another line of caption when
hitting enter at the end of a caption. Word generally makes it hard to open
new lines of normal text.
Same problem, hitting enter at end of HeadingN sometimes opens another line
Inserting a Section Break inserts extra pages23 Aug 2005 14:32 GMT11
If I create a new section break, whether it is Next Page, Odd, Even, or
Continuous, sometimes it inserts an extra page that is not visible unless I
go to "Print Preview."  This doesn't happen all of the time and I can't
figure out why it does it some times and not others.
