type font so that they can make their letter documents look like a letter

For some reason sometimes there is only 1/4 of a page of typing and then it
goes onto the next page.  When I delete the space it takes the whole lot down
- in other words there is even less at the top of the page.  There are no
extra spaces etc in the document which seem to need ...

Whenever I open up a new word window, as if i'm going to start typing
something new, it brings up one of my old saved documents every single time.
I have to highlight everything and delete it, then reset the margins if I
want to type something.

When I type invoices in word I cant always keep the columns of figures
straight.  At present I use the tab keys but when I have figs such as £46.00
and then £421.00 the figures go "wonky".  There must be an easier way?

When creating protected templates in MSWord with form fields which the user
can type in text of which the lenght varies, I want different margins for
different pages without using section breaks. If you insert a section break
it moves when you insert the text and the margin move ...

I have Microsoft 2003. In my old microsoft version i used to be able to go to

I am using Word to produce reports, using a file which is emailed to me and
already includes some text, including a footer on every page.  I then add my
own text including editing the footer.  This all works fine and I can see the
footer displaying correctly in Print Preview.  

I'm working on a header, and have inserted a text box and pixture (even tried

When I type 2 lines and print preview, the lines show up (and print) one line
at the top and one at the bottom.  type more lines and the lines are spaced
evenly on the first page. What is my problem?

Somehow I changed something in my Word "Diary Document", and I have the
character "." marking the spaces between words, and ".." marking the spaces
