I have a word document with many figures.
The problem is that the text has many blank areas and a bad structure
because the figures do not fit nicely with the text.
Are there any hints for avoiding this?

The number format options only allow you to choose 1, a, i, etc.  I want to
number my pages using alpha numbers such as one, two, three . . . .  Is there
any way to do that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated., even if it's
just to say it isn't possible.  Thanks in advance.

When I create a table, I will often want to copy and paste a row that is in
the middle of the table, with the pasted row being right below it.  My
normal method is to highlite the row, ctrl-C, ctrl-V.  This always worked,
but over the past 6 month is only intermittently working.  ...

Word 2003:  The dialog boxes often obscure the entire screen.  This makes a
find and replace operation extremely frustrating.  Since the boxes contain a
lot of gray area, can't you cut the size?

In Word 97, when set to metric measurements, the tab positions and
margins/indents on the ruler snapped to the nearest 2.5mm. In Word 2003 they
appear to snap to inch positions regardless. Why? And can that be reset?

First of all I work in Word 2000. I have an old document that I need to
revise. I can see the text on my screen but when I print it, it skips a part.
Another part I cannot see on screen but that parts prints. When I tried to
copy the text (bit by bit) to a new document part of it ...

Every time I open a new/blank document in word, the page view zoom is 57%. I
must need to change the normal.dot template? I want to change the default to
page width or 100%. I can not find where in the template srttings or in the
word options to do this.

All of a sudden my normal.dot template has changed the paper size from A4 to
Letter.  Also the top margin is set to 2.54 cm, but the cursor blinks on the
page right at the top.

I've been managing a family genealogy website for about seven years, using
Word97 as my editor. I just upgraded to Word2000 and when I save an edited
page all the relative links are changed to absolute links. What can I do to
resolve this problem?

I downloaded a newsletter template from MS Online. The newsletter is 4 pages
long, I only need two pages. How do I delete the last two pages from the

I am wanting to print 4 pages per sheet using Word 2000. In the print dialog,
I select "4 pages per sheet" and scale to "letter" size paper. However, the
document still prints one page to one sheet.
I have tried printing to different printers (my default is an HP5000) and

When I email a document to another user I get the message that th
margins are set outside the printable area of the page. When they prin
they lose the left side margein info and top of the document.  Any idea
why the formatting gets lost when I email to someone else
