I have Word 2000 with SP3. All of a sudden; all spacing is double even though it is set to single in the paragraph box. I can't get single spacing.

(unrelated to the previous double space posts) Over the years I have adopted the habit of using two spaces between a full stop (aka period) and the first letter of the next sentence when continuing the paragraph. See, just like here. IMHO this adds to the readability of the text.
