I am only able to format background color in Web Layout view. (using XP) It seems that in the past, somewhere, I have been able to apply it to Normal and Print Layout. How do I do this?

Over a network I want all users to insert a filename in the footer of any new doc they open. I understand you cannot insert autotext into normal.dot but there must be a way of doing this.

Just got Office 2007 and can't figure out first how to layout page in two columns, not tables...and then add line between columns. Office 2003 had a simple menu and check-box to do this.

I hate filling in forms by hand, so my current method of filling in a non-editable form (such as a PDF) is to print it as an MDI, then open in Office Document Imaging and save as a TIFF, then add this as a background image in a Word document!
