After inserting a page break, if the new page starts with a heading line then the heading format runs into the previous page last line. This is especially problematic when the heading format includes shading because the last line of the previous page becomes completely shaded.

I have one more problem with Word 2003. I want every my chapter to start at an odd page. The only way to make this in a good formating way, as far as i know, is to make a separate section from each of my chapter and set it to start at an odd page.
