I created a jpg insert for my report in Adobe Design. When I insert it into my word doc as a jpg I keep getting a blue line under it that I cannot get rid of. How can I get rid of this and why is it doing it?

This is a style of page layout that I saw many times in textbooks. I'm trying to write a report, with a small reference column that runs down the left hand side of the page, about 2 inches wide (the bulk text being on the right).

I have a document divided into 3 sections. The first two section headers are fine, but the third has disappeared. I cannot even get the dotted header section box to appear. I have tried multiple things but nothing seems to work, any suggestions?

Why when I use justify to format a paragraph does word put long spaces between the words if a short sentence is on the last line of a page. If the same short sentence is elsewhere on the page then word does not do this. John

I am an elementary teacher and I would like to print on sentence strips that are 3" down and 24" long. My printer keeps reverting to a page set up of 8.5 X 11. I am using Word 2003. My printer is lexmark Z705.

Whenever I open a new document in Word 2003, the page defaults to the cursor at the uppermost edge of the page. I had it set to default at 1" header and footer. I tried to reset these defaults but it's not working for me. How do I reset the default settings for new documents? ...

The text jumps from the middle of one page to the next without me asking for it and without any sign of invisible characters showing the reason for it (ie page breaks, paragraph marks margins style indications). Backspacing the following page finally manages the text to follow
