Suppressing space before a heading at top of page21 Jan 2008 00:13 GMT1
I am creating a long document with a heading at the start of each
chapter. The header shows the current chapter, so I have a "section
break (continuous)" before each chapter heading to provide for the
different header text. The heading style includes space before, which is
table of contents moving objects20 Jan 2008 18:30 GMT1
When I try to insert a table of contents, it pulls all of my objects out of
their places in the document and intersperse the lines of the TOC among the
objects.  (The objects are mostly from PowerPoint, but one is from Excel.)

changing in some places but when I change to Draft view or show the

In Word 2007 my margins are in pt rather than inches.  How do I change it?
Top margin. Why can't I control it?18 Jan 2008 16:14 GMT7
I want to put in our company logo at the top left of a page. It's a big
character, 156 point. It's using a special logo font I made with a font
program I have. When I type the character in, it's lowered way down on the
page. My page layout is set to top. My top margin is set to ...
Is full justification available in Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007? Wh18 Jan 2008 16:12 GMT10
"Full Justification" is a typographical standard which results in all lines
having exactly the same length. For a definition, see for instance Wikipedia.
I have Word 2003 and I cannot find how to produce full justification. There
are actually two kinds: (1) without hyphenation of ...

I am trying to create a template for a form that will be used online.  On
this form I must be able to leave blank lines so they can be filled out with
text later.  The problem I am having is that when I draw a line it doesn't
always appear and stay where I need it to.  Is there ...

I’ve created a letterhead in Word(2003) using 2 columns. I would like to
separate the top letterhead section I’ve created from the rest of the page
with a section break so that I can utilize the rest of the page for
text/typing. Is this possible? I’ve tried all the different ...
Table of Contents (TOC)17 Jan 2008 17:44 GMT2
I am editing a word document (Microsoft Word 2003) to which I am not the
original author.
The Table of Contents (TOC) is centering vertically on the page.  This is
causing extra line spacing on the second page of the TOC.  The text on the
Word 2003 how to view all the pages?17 Jan 2008 17:25 GMT1
I have a multi-page merged label document, but can only see page 1 on Word.

entries on the later pages, but I want to be able to click on page numbers,
or enter a page number, or click on something like "next ...
problem with page numbers17 Jan 2008 16:16 GMT4
Hi, I have a document that I want other people to be able to use as a
template. It needs to have 3 different page number styles: pages without
numbers, pages with roman numerals, and pages with Arabic numbers, all in the
same document. People who use the template need to be able ...
Two different headers with the same footer in same document17 Jan 2008 14:58 GMT3
I have tried to create a template in Word 2003, where the first page has a
different header than the rest of the pages, but all pages including page 1
have the same footer (page x of y).
I used section breaks to start a new page and defined the header for page 2
Is it possible to "freeze" the cursor position in the middle of a     page?17 Jan 2008 14:43 GMT2
Ideally, I would like to have the cursor's position frozen in the
middle of a page, and as I edit/type the document, the pages will
scroll up line by line instead of the cursor moving down. Does that
make sense? I don't know if it's possible, and I haven't found much
MathType vs. Brownstone Equation Editor17 Jan 2008 14:33 GMT1
I typically open MathTyppe from Word using the Ctrl-F1 keys.  Recently the
same key strokes open a program called Brownstone which is not as fancy as
the program I paid for; it has much of the functionality missing from the
regular MathType.  In the past, I uninstall all the ...
