how do i get the same space, bot & top of page when finished document

Heres what I am trying to do...
I have a document that is divided into topics like management, hiring,
training, etc.
I want to divide these sections into volumes like A, B, C ...etc.  Within

I am going to put together a list of departed K of C Members, their name
place year of death.
Does anyone have suggestions?
My list will have 145 names and dates.

I would like to divide a single sheet of paper into 3 three sections to
design Gift Certificates.  Word allows me 2 two but I would like more.  Can
you help me ?

How do I get the date on top of each page of a Word Document? I am using Word
2000.

Is there a way to make columns go from one page to the next instead of the
newspaper type columns?  When the text in the left column reaches the bottom
of the page, I want it to continue in the left column of the next page.  Then

I'm an old hand at Word, but have never spent much time in two-column
format. Using a dirt-simple template and layout, I drop a continuous
section break after the document title and intro so that the rest of
the document will be in 2-col format.

Created a 31 page text document on 16W x 11L format.  Set the margins so that
just left side of page has text.  I need the text on 8 x 11 paper.   Thought
I could cut & paste text on new 8 x 11 document, but 24 hours later, still

I have a bunch of legal documents that I need to convert to letter size.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this? I want the content of the legal
document to be resized to fit accordingly in the letter sized document.

I want to insert the same image, in the same place on every page, at the side
of the page. Headers and Footers allow me to do this at the top or bottom of
the page but I can't work out how to do it down the side of a page. I am
using Word 2007.

I want to number my titles automatically, like this:

I have Word 2003. I am printing test to pre-printed patterned paper. Because
of the way my printer prints, I need to invert the test in the Word document.
The top of the printed paper is a cutout, and gets jammed in the printer.

(Word 2002). I used to have some gray coloured guides on my page, in each of
the four corners, that showed where the margins were set in the current doc.
They have disappeared and I can't get them back. They are really useful. Any
idea how to display these again? thanks
