I'm using Word XP. I want to have it open to my own template "MY TEMPLATE" -- not the Normal template. I also want to change the keyboard shortcut ^N so that MY TEMPLATE opens (not the Normal temlate). Is this possible?

I have a template set up with a custom Numbered list style that should restart at 1 at each list and is indented .63 with a .25 hang. This was set up in Word 2002. I am using the same template in Word 2007 (resaved the template in Word 2007 format).

Notepad and Wordpad have the ability to turn text wrapping on or off, how can I do this with Word? I want to make a list of information where there is a new record on each line and keep it as simple text. Even if I wrap to window, that's not enough

Since about six months ago I've been getting error messages telling me that each section (I don't use sections!) footer (I don't have footers other than page numbers!) goes beyond the printable page. I get these everytime I try to print a document. I've checked the margin sizes ...

This is for my dissertation. I am not allowed to have a heading or page number on the first page of each chapter, but I want this page to be counted. In other words, I need to keep all of my page numbers for my document but hide the heading and page numbers (make invisible) ...

I have lines on my word documents and no matter what I do I can not get rid of them. I delete them but the just come back and they cause major issues. I am creating forms and these lines screw up everything. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

I always get into trouble with this!! I have a document of about three pages that uses numbering to clarify certain sections of the document. Below those sections there are other sections some of which have numbers (or letters) with indents to highlight

Many Word customers are writers. Submission guidelines require 25 (exactly) lines per page. Older versions of Word allowed you to set Lines: EXACTLY 25 per page. The newer versions don't seem to allow that. WE NEED THAT FEATURE BACK! Anybody out there know how to do that ...

I have created a new template with Word 2007, including our company graphics as a background (in header, as I have understood in some topics). Then I save this new template as dot, to be used in earlier versions of Office, as not all of our employees have Office 2007 yet.

When we type the month, the automatic date doesn't appear; there's nothing in Insert to set the application
