When I open a document it is very small and located in the upper left corner
of the screen. When I turn the ruler on both the top and side is only about
1.5 inches long. I cannot find any help on reset the ruler to it's default

I am trying to reformat some public domain text (The Early Church Fathers)
that is only about 5 inches wide. I want to remove the line breaks so that I
can allow the text to flow into an 8.5x11 inch page, and then put into 2
columns. Any ideas??

I would like to put a title on the long side of a page, so that when it is
filed, it can be read without needing to take it out of the file.
It would be like a header or footer, but on the (out)side of the page.

Avery template 5160 has side margins set at .19", and closing the margin
dialog generates the margin warning message. However, when the page is

When I make a mistake on a document, I lose text when tring ti correct it.
The correction corvers up the next letter. How do I fix this

Is there anyway to insert dot leaders at the end of a line of text to the
margin without setting up a new tab?  (I'm an ex-WordPerfect user, and I used

I am trying to use auto-numbering of figures in my microsoft document.
However, I'm working in landscape mode, and all of my figures are numbering
right to left (which would be correct if I was in portrait). Is there a way
to change the numbering order when in landscape mode?

I'm trying to print on Avery 5027 labels but I don't have the option to
select 5027 in the menu.  Any recommendations?

Working in a document that was previously joined from several documents in
compatibliity mode, a second footer appears above the normal one. It is not
part of the document nor of the footer. If all footnotes is removed from any
page, the second footer disappears from that page.

Can anyone tell me how to rectify the above?
When I tab down in word, the content is moving down, but is not appearing on
the page below. Like it is hiding behind the page.
