Thumbnails has stopped working.  Cannot check box in Show/Hide (check mark
disappears immediately).  Any suggestions?

How do I turn on "only" change bars to track changes?
When I add a word or letter it works fine, but when I delete a word I
get the change bar and also the word has a strike through and can't be
deleted.

From a list I started making an outline using the outline feature of word. I
then realized the first topic should be the title and changed it to the

My margins in page set up are ok but the ruler on the left side (vertical
ruler) does not allow me to move it to adjust the margins. The horizontal
ruler slides back and forth but the vertical one does not. What can I do to

I don't want my tracked changes to be automatically accepted, but they are
when I scroll down through my word document.

I am mocrosoft word 2007 user. I cannot get my F4 document text(21cm x 33cm)
to be fully printed onto F4 paper.  It only prints up to 30cm. I also cannot
find any paper size of 21cm x 33cm in print  properties which use to have in
word 2000.

I am trying to create a booklet. When I try to insert a template as a page
this template shows on all pages. I cannot insert any other pages. How can I
create multiple pages using inserted files?

I have a word doucment that shows I have I. in the index as Introduction
but when I go down to that section it say introduciton but not the I. It

When I open a new blank document the first line indent is at 3/4 (just left
of the 1 and the left indent is set at 1 while the margins are set at 1 and

When I am formatting research papers, I sometimes run into formatting bugs
within the document.  It would be great if I could see ALL of the formatting
mark up, like LaTeX or even have the ability to export in LaTeX compatible
format.

I can't figure out how to set thedefault line spacing for ll new documents in
Word 2007.  Currently, when I open up a new doculent, the line spacing is
automatically set to 10 pt, so to correct it, I click on "Page Layout" tab,
and then decrease the number in the "After" (lower) ...

when i change the page background to be an image, it lets me select the image
but doesn't allow me to select the option of keeping the ratio...
additionally, when i print the document the bkgd picture is titled a zillion
times. how do i get the picture to simply fill the page and ...

Why is it that I put EXACTLY the same header/footer and top/bottom margins in
a word document but when I print it out some of the headers and footers are
positioned where I want them and some are about 1/3rd of the way up the page?

I'm having trouble with images put in the header. They cause massive type lag
when I'm typing. Has anyone else encountered this problem OR been successful
at adding images into their header without a performance hit?
