Earlier versions of word automatically selected the "Symbol" font when the user selected Insert/Symbol. Word XP and Word 2003 now default to the current font. Is there a way to change that default to a specific font? Possibly

I can not get my envelopes to print. The printer sounds as if it is printing but no print. I can get other documents to print in word. I have Windows XP, Office 2000 Pro and a Lexmark X73 printer.

In my work, I frequently need to try to match fonts used in logos, etc. I generally type a few letters, and then go into "Format, Font" and scroll through the various fonts to try to find the one that looks like the one I'm trying to match.

I'm using Windows 95 and Word97. In my Windows\Fonts folder I have True Type fonts and other (red A icon) fonts. The True Type fonts are available for use in a Word document but the other fonts aren't. Is there any way to get Word to recognize those fonts that aren't available
