A friend has asked if there is a character that is a c with what looks like
two dots beneath the letter. Apparently it was used in
handwriting in words like McIntosh, etc. but with the c in superscript. If
there is, would you know where

A co-worker recently added the greater/less than symbol from the character
map and has since had a print/view issue.  He says that this particular
document prints ok, but doesn't look correct on screen.
Any suggestions on what causing this?  He's using Word 97.

Sometimes I like to use word to print a .txt file.
Unfortunately, the default font it uses for .txt
files is pitiful looking in printouts. I usually
have to select all, turn on bold, then print it.

large letter per page down.

Currently, the list of fonts showing in Word contains all the fonts
installed in Windows plus, if my PostScript printer is the default, the
