I hope someone here can help me.  This one is driving me crazy!  I
have a several users who have a few fonts available to them in
Microsoft Word.  The problem is these fonts are not in their fonts
folder.  I think I've searched just about everywhere for the foolish

A recent issue of "Smart Computing" magazine in an article "Speed up Your
PC" suggests uninstalling some fonts. It says that Windows loads all fonts
into memory.
My fonts folder has hundreds of fonts. There seems to be 3 types as

I have an interesting problem. When Word documents are printed to a
certain printer, some special characters don't print. (Things like list
bullets, the +- symbol, the degree symbol, etc.) If the exact same
document is sent to a different printer, all these things do print

When I print envelope addresses, they print in red ink instead of black even
though the document prints in black. I have changed the envelope font color
to black by default and it still prints red.

We've just upgraded a couple of the computers on outr network to
Office 03 (from Office 2000) as well as a couple of machines from
Windows 2000 to XP Pro.

My Japanese language teacher complains that she has lost all but four
fonts in Word. She can still see all her fonts in the Control Panel, but
in Word the fonts pull-down menu shows only 4 fonts.
I really need her to get these fonts back into Word - I cannot read any
