When saving a form the document always goes to the last form field in the
document, is there any way of stopping the document from doing this and
remaining in the same place while the saving is in progress?

is there a way to create a field in word 2003 to make a unique number.  i
want to use word document to create a certificate that has a unique
certificate number.  Everytime the doc is opened, a new unique number is
created.  perhaps creating a formula that takes the system date ...

I have written my first macro. It works well on all but a few documents. All
it does is copies the text , headers and footers etc from a template document
(that people though would be carried across simply by assigning the template)
to the document.

I would like to know if the selected text is protected and if it is
protected, how it is protected.
