we have a need to change the file location for word templates from the local
default path to a mapped area on our network.
Aside from using group policy does anyone know of any easy way to do this,
maybe by running some form of registry key in our login script ?

I have a configuration where I force a copy of normal.dot when users login.
When I check, the normal.dot is copied. But when the users starts WORD the
normal.dot gets renamed to normal.dot.old and word creates a new normal.dot.
Any ideas?

Where can I find the names of the files for MS Office 2003 that store all
the settings?  For example I know that the MSOxxx.ACL file stores the
AutoCorrect List entries.  I need to know which file stores the Tools -
Options settings and more.

We are running Word 2003 on our 2003 server.  One of our users has a problem
with Word at her work station.  When she opens a new or existing document the
page appears normal, but as soon as she begins to type the page turns black.

I have two computers, one with Windows ME and one with Windows XP.  My files
are on the WinME computer and the directory is mapped to the XP machine, with
full access and no password.  Using either Word or Excel, if I open a file,
then edit the file, I can save it with no problem ...
