In WordPerfect, we were able to lock cells in a table so others could not change/type in those cells. Is this possible in Word? If so, how? I am not finding anything on how to do it.

I would like to title my table in my document, but there is no need for a number. "Help" says I need to go Insert/Reference/Caption/Auto Caption and uncheck the boxes for things I don't want automatically numbered --

As I understand it, Word has a bug at least through 2000 -- if you allow rows to split across pages, you sometimes get a line of text printing on both pages, even though it's only once onscreen.
