How to resize just one column of a table29 Dec 2003 15:23 GMT5
In Word 97, I could use (IIRC) alt+mouse to resize a single column of a
table without changing the width of the other columns.  In Word 2000 this
facility seems to have been removed and, worse, the manual setting of the
column size via the Preferred Width is known to be broken.  ...

You've probably seen, in magazines or newspapers, tables where the cells in
the header row are elongated and slanted off at an angle. That's the kind of

This type of fancy header row is used when the column descriptions have many

I just upgraded to Word 2003, and I'm having trouble re-joining tables that were originally split by forcing a page break.  In Word XP, tables could be re-joined by deleting the space between the two tables.  I've tried this approach with the new Word and it doesn't work.  Any ...
