I am using MS WORD XP.  I have literally hundreds of
tables that contain empty columns only at the end of each
table.  The tables themselves range from one to nine
columns.  Some tables have no empty columns (i.e., they
freezing or locking columns in Word for XP30 Jun 2004 00:06 GMT1
I have a table in Word that I want to lock the first
column of text so that I cannot change it (without going
thru another step) and so that when I tab
around the table the cursor will not enter the first

I'm trying to group a text box with a table so when I move
a table the text box comes with it. I swear I was able to
do this in Word 2000 but I can't seem to get it to work in
Word XP. Suggestions?

I want to create a table in Word with 104 columns, but I
seem unable to create a table larger than 63 columns,
despite altering fonts, page size, margins, etc.  Even
when I paste from Excel, the resultant table only has 63

Greetings.  I have a MS WORD 2002 document that contains
hundreds of tables separated by paragraph marks.  Each
table in the WORD document looks contains the following

I have some cells where the background colour stops and turns to white

Is there a way to view what a table is linked to without
seeing the entire form code?  In reading this message
board I see that you can choose to view the field codes.  
These are quite cumbersome.  All I am really interested
